Pleased to inform you that on October 27, 2022, the world premiere of MIka Mdinaradze's piece "Kirye Eleison" (for soprano and orchestra ) will take place at the Konzerthaus in Berlin.

It is a big honour that the piece will be conducted by Maestro Christoph Eschenbach and sung by the wonderful soprano Marisol Montalvo.

On July 2, 2022, the premiere of Mika Mdinaradze's piece "145 Christ" (for flute and orchestra) took place in the Grand Hall of the Tbilisi State Conservatory. The composition was written specially for flautist Stathis Karapanos and was performed by Tbilisi Youth Orchestra and Stathis Karapanos, conducted by Maestro Fuad Ibrahimov.

The work is dedicated to the children killed by the Russian occupiers in Ukraine

"By the time I started writing this composition, 145 children stopped breathing in Ukraine. To be more precise, they were forced to stop the main impetus act of life, the act of breathing. Flute is a symbol of this act, it gives birth to a sound, music, life by blowing an air, that is soul. While working on the composition I had a constant feeling of asphyxia, I could sense how the children were fighting for the last breath of air, I could hear their chaotic, rhythmically ragged breathing. Crucified Christ probably should have been breathing the same way, during the last minutes of his life, as were the numerous children slaughtered by the butchers. For today, while you are listening to this music, more than 500 children were deprived of the right to breath in Ukraine by the Russian occupiers."
